Baptism Day

Dakota was baptized by his Father today and Confirmed a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What a special day it was for us to see our little cute amazing special boy take such a great step in his life! We are so proud of him and know that he will continue to grow and learn all he can about the gospel!

Dakota and Trent have been Friends since they were about 1! When ever they get together they have so much fun! We are looking forward for Trent's baptism!

Growing Pains!

Shelby and I were looking through some old pictures and came across this picture of the two of us and she said" Mom, I miss being little" This brought tears to my eyes because i miss her being little too! She asked me today what we were going to do after school. I told her she was going to help me clean a house and she said " I want to stay at school mom!" She loves school so much! I feel sad that my little girl is growing and will be in 1st grade and gone all day! She is my last one home right now and I've decided i need to make every minute count! Shelby is so cute and has a very fun personality! She always gives me kisses and hugs all day long!! I hope that she is always so loving! I love her so much! I hope that i am a good mother and always give her happy memories! I love you sweetie pie!

Sweet Grandma

We got to the hospital to visit Grandma and she was feeling pretty good! I was so happy to see her smiling! Doesn't she look cute with the hat? We had a lot of fun giggling and listening to her stories. Before we left we asked if we could bring her anything back when we returned that evening and she said a million dollars!! So.....

We went to the store and got some play money!!! When we came back to visit she was not doing well and in a lot of pain, but we were still able to get a smile out of her, with her millions!

It has been nice to be down here but i have been in a lot of pain since Friday with a horrible toothache! It must be a huge infection!! I will be in the dentist chair Monday morning at 8:00 A.M. thanks to my husband! So for tonight and Sunday i will be doped up on lortabs!

Trials

I have several Friends and Family members going through some very hard trials right now and I came across this wonderful article and wanted to share it with all of you who are hurting right now! I hope that as you read you will feel some hope and understand the trials you are going through! I love you all!!

"One of life’s most commonly asked questions is, "Why does God allow His children to go through difficult, trying, painful times in life?" We recognize that God is all-powerful and could prevent these trials if He chose to do so. Yet, He often does not. Therefore, there must be some purpose for them, some divine reason for not sparing us these hardships. Once we begin to understand God’s purpose for these things, we will be able to stand strong through any storm of life.

1.We must be persuaded that God is in control of the timing and intensity of our trials.
2.We must realize that God has a specific purpose for each trial in life.
3.We must understand that each trial is designed to meet a specific need that God sees in our lives.
4.We must accept that each trial is going to result in our own good if we respond in faith.
5.We must discover how each trial can strengthen our faith by proving that we can depend on the Lord for all of our needs.
6.We must rejoice in that each trial is an opportunity for God to demonstrate His power to sustain us under tremendous pressure.
7We must submit ourselves to the development of Christ-like character that results from our trials.
8.We must take advantage of our trials’ usefulness in measuring our spiritual growth. For example, we may realize that we are capable of handling a powerful hardship that would have crippled us only a year or two ago. This is because our continuing trials have taught us that God will indeed empower us to prevail.
9.We must be convinced that God will walk us through every step of the trial(Hebrews 13:5).
10.We must have faith that by His grace and the enabling power of the Holy Spirit, we will not only survive, but we will also conquer over each trial.

If you are a child of God, you have the means by which to stand firm in the face of any trial. Trust that God has a reason for your sufferings, and submit yourself to whatever He desires to teach you. The road may be rocky, but a wise response will lead you into the joy He has promised."

Resolution Revolution

My Dear Friend, Carole had this post on her sight and I think it is the best idea I've heard yet for resolutions. She got the idea from her sister who got the idea from a site called - One Word- . So give it a try...

Pick a word for the year.
Just one word. That’s all.
Then, hold that word in your mind throughout the year, and let your word guide you to take action. For instance, let’s say you want to make a resolution to lose 20 pounds, and to change jobs. Rather than say, “I resolve to lose 20 pounds and get a better job,” (which can be somewhat overwhelming) you might sit with this thought for a little while. Write in your journal. Maybe then you would recognize that you've been scared to look for another job because there might not be something out there, and maybe you’ve been overeating to stuff down the fears that come up and the feelings of insecurity.
So, instead of making resolutions - which do little to inspire you - you choose the word “courage.” Courage then becomes what guides you. Each day you focus on that word. When you don’t want to go to the gym, you don’t berate yourself with the threat of your resolution. Instead, you motivate yourself with your word. “Courage.” You say it aloud to remind yourself. And you go because learning how to not be scared of change is exciting to you. The word then builds on itself. You might decide to take a yoga class even though the skinny yoga girls have always scared you. You might find that you have a little more energy with each new thing you try. Maybe this energy motivates you to call an old friend in your field and let her know you are looking for another job. Courage becomes the guiding force, not the harsh standard. (And WAY better for you than a pound of bacon and four eggs for breakfast, too!)

I have compiled a list of possible words below. As you read through them, see if one stands out for you. It’s tempting to choose four or five, believing that you can do it all! (Or that you’re that messed up and can’t possibly narrow your flaws down to one helpful word!) I recommend that if you don’t know how to choose just one, narrow it down to no more than three. One is ideal. It gives you focus. If you master that one word, you can choose another one in June.
The word I have Chosen is Patience. If I can have a lot more Patience I'm also able to have many more of the choices on this list.

Movies, Chocolate and more movies!

I have been to so many movies, eaten way to much CHOCOLATE in the past week ,if i never see a piece again I'll be fine! Right, who am I kidding?? No seriously, i really have had an amazing break from work and really enjoyed seeing all the new movies out there and just spending time with family and friends!! Together as a family we have seen Bolt, Marley and Me and Bedtime Stories. Three really great wholesome family movies! My kids really enjoyed all three! I also saw, Four Christmas's, Doubt, Benjamin Button, and Australia. Tonight we are all going to my sister's club house to watch Mama Mia in her theatre room!! I have been really relaxed and enjoyed my time this holiday season. Monday is coming way to soon! I might just freak out when my alarm goes off at 6 A.M! Yikes!!
