Happy Halloween!

Madison and her friend Natalie decided they both wanted to be a mime! I think they did quiet well in putting their costume's together by themselves! Dakota was a vampire ,and we think he is a better looking Edward then the one they picked for the Twilight movie! Cute Shelby is Tinkerbell! We went Trunk or treating at the church and then John took the kids out trick or treating. Fun was had by all!

Glasses and missing teeth!

Shelby got her glasses today! I think she looks pretty cute in them. She is so excited to wear them to school tomorrow! At the dinner table tonight we were having her read really small print and she was so happy she could see! Kind of makes us feel bad we didn't know sooner!!

Fun with leaves!

Shelby and neleh had so much fun raking the leaves into a giant pile today! They even made me jump in it too!!

What color are you?

You Are a Yellow Crayon
Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.
You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.
Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.
While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.
Well I'm not real sure i agree with my color! I really don't think I'm charming or eloquent. I am very spontaneous but i also like a schedule. Is it OK to be both?? Oh and I'm so not not a genius!!! My kids think I'd kind of dumb when it comes to math! Take the test it's kind of fun!

YO returns to Japan :(

We had a very fun weekend with YO! We took him rollerskating on Friday night. On Saturday we took him to Orem High in the morning to play soccer and baseball with our family and also his friends family. He wanted to go shopping at Walmart with Dakota they had a great time. We then went to Fudruckers and then to Cornbellies.. Sunday we took him to church, carved pumpkins, to a birthday party and then we all sat in the hot tub. We had a great time , but we are sooo tired! He left for japan this morning and we are all sad to see him go! Poor Dakota has been crying all day! It was a great experience!

Iv'e been tagged

I've been tagged by my good friend Lynda, 6 things I value, 6 things I don't value, and tag 6 blogger friends to do the same. we assume that everyone will place family (and friends) at the top of the list, so understand that that is just a given.
Things I value:

1. The truthfulness of the gospel and for the knowledge we have that we will be with our loved ones in the next life. To know that our families are forever.
2. My home where i know i am safe from the ugliness of the world a place of refuge.
3. Those rare day's when i feel wonderful ,alive, and can walk without the worst pain in my feet i have ever felt!
4. Okay, now the good stuff! CHOCOLATE!!!! That is a big comfort thing for me! Oh and Dr. Pepper!
5. Weekends and lazy day's... We all need those kind of day's to recharge ourselves!
6. My car! Those of you that walk everywhere, kudos to you!

Things I don't value:
1. Friendships that are fake.
2. Really hot weather! If I could live in a place where it was cloudy and rainy and cool i would.
3. Screaming! That's all I need to say
4. Diets! Why can't we all just be happy with what we were given? I hate thinking every day that that was my last cookie or Dr. pepper!!!
5. Yard work! Hate it! I wish my parents would hire out!!
6. Last ,but not least! Mopping my kitchen floor! Lynda, i will trade you bathrooms for my kitchen floor!

Japanese Exchange student!

Ryo (pronounced YO) i know, we've had a lot of fun with his name!! He arrived on Tuesday night and we took him to Madison's party at Doc's pizza! I think he was overwhelmed with my family, jet lag and a new place! He is so sweet to us! He brought us all gifts from Japan and even A birthday present for Madison! I'm sure it is so hard for him to come to America for the first time without their parents and knowing very little English. His Father has called me several times and each time i assure him i will take very good care of his son. His mother was so worried about him having clean clothes so i wash things for him daily! Our kids love him to death and i think smother him, but he seems to like it! Madi and he have been playing soccer and he is teaching her some new tricks!

Bubbles,Bubbles and more Bubbles!

This picture is so hilarious! And yes, we are in our swimming suits! We all wanted a turn in the tub but we decided why not all get in together! Well, it was a little cramped but nothing was going to ruin our fun! The men thought we were a crazy bunch of girls! The truth is we know how to have fun!!

We told my mom it was time to wash our hair! Just like old times!! I have never laughed so hard in all my life! Check out are hair! Oh and the mascara running down our faces.

Since we did the bath thing and were covered in bubbles we decided to get in the shower and rinse off! To our amazement there was also steam in there! This bathroom was Awesome!!

We finally got all the suds washed out and we are all squeaky clean. You are never to old for bath time with your Mom and Sisters!

It dosen't pay to be the one with muscles!

Okay so there is a story to this picture! My Mom, Sister and I came up to Park City today. My dad was coming later along with other siblings and our spouses. We, the impatient ones decided we would come up early and do some shopping.... Well after taking 2 hours to check into the Hotel we decided to carry all our stuff in. What you don't see in this picture is i also had 2 laptop briefcases on my shoulder! I was loaded down and making it to the room was very difficult! I even got stares from the maids!!! The funny thing is, my mother was only carrying 2 bags and was wining that it was too heavy!! Ok whatever! Most of the stuff I was carrying was HERS!!! LOL ! love ya mom! It's times like this that i'd like to take a pill to make me smaller and weaker!! HA,HA! Now I know why my Dad came later!!

5th Grade field trip to Hee Haw Farm!

Madison and Krystal with their twin hair cuts!! Aren't they cute?? They had a great time even though they weren't in the same group. Madison and Krystal have been BEST FRIENDS for the past 3 years and they were even born on the same day and at the same hospital. Little did they know that one day they would be friends and also cousins! Krystal's mom married my brother Marc.
Madi and I had a great day together! We had 5 girls in our group. We got lost in the corn maze and went on a very bumpy hayride! We saw a huge pig that weighed 1200 lbs. Holy cow, he was huge!! The girls had fun going down a huge slide, and finding the perfect pumpkin to bring home. After leaving Hee Haws we went to discovery Park and had lunch and the kids got to play a bit while us adults rested..It was a very fun day had by all!

What happened to fall?

I can't believe this month is almost half over! Where has the time gone? I guess I'd better figure out what my kids want to be for Halloween before there is no costumes left! We had a little snow storm yesterday but it melted quickly! The kids went out and tried to make a snow fort, they got half way done and decided to call it quites. Today i spent the day in the kitchen making cheeseburger soup and chocolate chip cookies. For those of you that know me well, know i HATE to bake, so I'm not sure what came over me, but if you received some of those yummy cookies consider yourselves lucky and for those who didn't, I'll make more next week!! Next week will be an exciting week as we have an exchange student from Japan, Madison's Birthday and some friends coming from California! I will be sure to take lots of pictures!

I'm back!

I have not had Internet for the past 3 weeks and i have never been so happy to get it back! We have been very busy these past few weeks. John and I took a trip to Helper to clean his fathers home out. You never realize how much one person can accumulate until you have to go through it all! It was a lot of work and we all had different emotions while boxing his stuff up. There was so many SPIDERS and MOUSE DROPPINGS and those really freak me out!! Kathy and i talked a lot and i feel became closer as sisters. Mike and John did the dump runs and DI drop offs! We all worked together and got it done in 2 days. I took a few pictures of John's fathers home so when i say he lived in a rock home you know what I'm talking about.

John's fathers empty house.

This is his empty porch. He had his recliner out here so he could sit and enjoy the canyon air John with the last box in the house!! His giant mug of coke, the last thing to go!
Kathy and I Dirty,Tired and sick of the SPIDERS!!

We actually got the kitchen to shine!!

This is the room in which dad spent most of his time. So hard to see it empty!

The porch was always filled with his stuff! I have never seen it so empty!

John's brother Mike at the side of his fathers home. Great idea to bring the trailer mike!

John at the front of dad's home looking out at God's country!
